One rainy evening, I was heading home when I noticed a small, shivering puppy hiding under a parked car near my street in Karachi. It was scared, wet, and clearly hungry. I couldn’t just walk past.
I brought the puppy home, dried him off, and gave him some food. He was hesitant at first but slowly warmed up to me. The next day, I took him to a nearby vet who confirmed he was only 2 months old and thankfully healthy.
I named him Shadow because he started following me everywhere like one. Today, Shadow is a joyful, energetic part of my family. He has his favorite toys, loves belly rubs, and even sleeps at the foot of my bed.
Rescuing Shadow changed both our lives. I encourage everyone to look out for animals in need — you never know how much love they might bring into your life.
